Got Started

We started by putting ice makers in businesses and keeping them running. What we learned along the way shaped everything we do today.

Founded on Ice Maker Services

Down Home Ice was founded in 2021 as a commercial ice maker service company. We got our start by selling and leasing commercial ice machines to restaurants, bars, and retail locations. From there, we became the team they called for maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.

Our job was simple. Get them the best ice maker for their needs and make sure equipment problems never slow them down.

But that work put us close enough to see where ice supply falls short. Ice makers produce ice, but production doesn't always keep up with demand. Peak hours, high volume events, stores reselling bags. Sometimes in-house production isn't enough.

In 2025, we filled that gap ourselves. We started delivering bagged ice.
